On Native reconciliation has a long way to go. Along the way the natives will need to take responsibility for there actions as well as their part in this world and their behaviors. Things like this do not fly well, and you can bet that this family has lost any willing for reconciliation. Native rights must matched with native responsibility.

If the natives are not going to behave in a responsible manner, we the people will not put up with the shit. The government can want peace and respect for the natives, but the government cannot dictate what, we the people actually think nor why.

Organic computer short coming
Organic computer short coming of only negative conformation signaling is rather interesting and will generate random errors until the error is recognized as an error and cancelled. This produces random generation of odd signals, and is the foundation of imagination and creativity.
What am I on about? well any signal sent our can be positive, negative, or null/neutral/just missing. So a selfish neuron fires a signal down to a hedonistic synapse, to another neuron's synapse, and hence to the next neuron. Now if and only if that neuron objects is a signal sent back. If the original signal is right, or partial, or not received, no confirmation signal is sent back. This would not do in computing for the error rate is to high, and much is not received nor understood. In a leaky first generation organic computer, this is as good as it gets, until a better method is adopted. Retained is a separate matter.
The advantage of this sort of communication is that it generates errors between neurons. But that is not an advantage!! It is if we value unclear thinking, imagination, parasite concepts that control behavior to the group standard (right or wrong standard not in question here). Well it worked well enough to get to this point, but now that we know this "error possibility" perhaps we need to implement a correction / check phase as to the correctness of all hypothesis we utilize? Perhaps the next step is a parallel system, using the human to input, output, generate alternatives, and the computer to process and store data.
The necktop has errors, and we have taken up errors in our education. It is just that hypothesis that we have learned but some of the assumption hypothesis are also likely wrong. This is dangerous as without certainty, and hence confidence in our knowledge, we can become frozen in the decision process. Neither is correct, but all we can move all suspect hypotheses to a group of X believes Y, but there is no logical proof. This is a logical thing to do, but others do no like "I will take that under advisement."

Looking forward - Canada vs. USA
In looking forward, there are some obvious differences between Canada and the USA.
First, in the matter of health care, Canada has a total health care system which will keep all people alive. Cost is not an issue for the individual. So the the parents can be kept alive by their children until the machines are unplugged. Or if the senior wishes, they may end their own suffering. There is a danger however, of going beyond and losing control of making the choice. DNR medallion may be required to prevent extended suffering. Parents can, at little or no cost to themselves, have human pets, if they do not bear healthy children. This will bankrupt the government if something is not done soon (5-10 years). The natives are the second big drain on the government, from which the drain typically just grows as they reproduce.
The US, on the other hand, for those who cannot afford health insurance, have the right to die. End of. But the government is trying to say no abortions, no public birth control, by pushing their opinions of morality onto others. The richer can have health care as long as they can pay the premiums and fees.
Education is heading the same way, the wealthy will be educated on both sides of the border, but the Canadian education, at the public level, will be slightly better. The US will still have milder winter weather, but too hot and wild in the summer. Canada will be milder than it was but we will need good heat also.
Two in thirty five of Canadians go south for some of the winter, taking their CPAP machines and/or oxygen enricheners with them. These were among the top few percent of wage earners. When the health insurance becomes too much, they will stop going, but a new crop of snowbird will arrive.
The US has a Christian problem; the do as I say christian attitude, is causing problem between the atheist, agnostic, satanists, Islam and free radical groups. They are shutting down science with the likes of Ken Ham and his ilk, climate change deniers, and the like. It is not climate change that will get the human species, but the atmosphere contamination with CO2 and methane combined with population growth, and animals, energy desires and needs of modern societies. Everyone is demanding more, and there are more people growing now. Population stabilization should be prompted, as well as reduction in the public support of nonviable unproductive humans.
The US is pushing oil, energy, and the likes, not doing anything to limit carbon dioxide. Alberta has capped several big producers and starting to encourage conservation, but nothing toward carbon sequestering. Active carbon sequestering, and carbon sequestering with a positive cash flow should be encouraged.
Canada has a first past the post electoral system and appointed Senate (upper house) with partisan biases. It has some issues, but the Judiciary is near independent. The US has a convoluted system that has not kept up with population changes and has an appointed executive arm where the implementation of law can be modified at will. Neither system is correct, but the Canadian system has disadvantages only for minor parties. The money should be remover from both systems. Both favor long term political types and the rich that can buy votes.

Beaumont RCMP are losing social support
Beaumont RCMP are losing social support. There ticketing is becoming excessive, and ridiculous. So the town changed an intersection from stop sign on one side to a four way stop. No Signal change warning. Just added to more stop signs. It was already 40km/hr each way already. Mind you there had been a accident there already, caused by a RCMP cruiser changing his mind, forcing a quick stop on ice behind for two vehicles which bumped. So the next day two cruisers all day. Filling there unofficial quota. They have become "revenuers".
Then there is the friendly welder. He puts a piece of dunnage on his rig, jammed in between the mounts, and puts a bungee cord across. It is not going to go anywhere in the few blocks between the job site and home. Cop sees something and pulls him over. Then the cop sees another bungee cord that keeps a tank from rattling. 1500 dollars later....
Do you think anyone has respect for the RCMP in Beaumont?
So on Feb 10, the town put us new signal sign on the south only.

No concept of evidence
http://english.alarabiya.net/en/News/2017/02/04/Father-of-Louvre-attack-suspect-My-son-is-innocent.html
Some people have no concept of what real evidence is or what truth is. How can a man who's son flies a thousand miles, take a machete into a secure area, swings it an armed guard and gets shot have evidence a thousand mile away of anything.
This little guy took a machete to a gun fight.

So called Trump
So the so called Trump, with alternative facts, and his typical overstatement of reality jetted off to Florida Friday. What a show you guys are producing! As we in Canada watch, and wait for the next round. Bets on assassination by a member of his own party are emerging. What a show! What a show! It's gonna be great, fabulous!
So now that his first executive order has be rejected in your federal court, what will the ring master do to retaliate? Threaten to cut the federal funding for the court? as he did with Berkeley? The so called President is a bully, with tactics of a third world dictator. Oh well, we in Canada can just watch the circus.

Trump - just change the rules
http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/317302-gop-changes-rules-to-push-through-nominees-after-dem-boycott
http://www.businessinsider.com/mnuchin-price-vote-boycott-democrats-approve-2017-2
So the GOP just changed the rules to push through a trump supporter. So the US now has to live with that. They just lost the rule of law, no matter how stupid the law.
